Green Building Week [11th -15th of September] - Sustainability in Practice
This year's Green Building Week [11th -15th of September] marks the launch of Henry J Lyons' Sustainability in Practice in-house resources. Sustainability In Practice is an initiative to open and facilitate the HJL sustainability group’s cross practice conversations. Over the past year our sustainability group members have shared their green expertise, and investigated the role of climate conscious design for Henry J Lyons. We look forward to the next step of our collective journey, learning from our projects and tackling potential, challenges, as well as identifying successes.
To mark Green Week 2023 we have organised the following events.
In-house: Carbon & Construction
Monday 11th
- Launch of ‘Sustainability in Practice' resources on MyHJL our internal intranet.
- HJL Embodied Carbon Guide launch - A booklet illustrating the carbon cost of common build ups
- Embodied Carbon Revit Demo - BIM team demonstration of upcoming HJL Revit feature, integrating the results of carbon studies into existing processes.
- Followed by Common Lunch by Fuppin' Delish (TBC).

In-house: Project Pin Up
Thursday 14th
Support your colleagues and enjoy a refreshment at the Thursday Project pin up. A series of short presentations on the sustainability aspects of a range of projects across the practice.
