RCSI’s project connect receives planning permission
Project Connect wil be a new 12,000m2 education and research building in Dublin City Centre.
The project will renew and reinforce the connection to Dublin’s historic St. Stephen’s Green while facilitating the sequential growth of the campus within a flexible and open framework. It enhances a directly connected relationship with the existing and new academic buildings on York Street, as well as maximising the potential of the site and its orientation forming new connections between York Street, Cuffe Street and St. Stephen’s Green.
The project provides a rich diversity of spacial types supporting the variety of didactic requirements of the college and its students. A unified approach to the interior and exterior design supports enhanced accessibility, energy performance and the overall sustainability of the Campus while showcasing engagement spaces and activities within.
