Veritas Technologies
Transforming a former warehouse into a dynamic new working environment.
In a move to create “strategic extension” of a new innovation hub in San Francisco and to contribute to its expansion into Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Veritas, a multi-cloud data management company, has opened a technology centre in Dublin’s North. To accommodate 450 people, Henry J Lyons transformed and refurbished a former warehouse into a dynamic new working environment.
The project was carried out over 10 months and involved the complete stripping of the warehouse back to the structural portal frame steel work. This frame was then clad with a mixture of single and double height curtain-walling, featuring both horizontal and vertical brise soleil, and wall cladding. The roof was reclad and includes a new roof-light system to maximise daylight a promote wellbeing.
Mezzanines and Bridges were installed at angles to create ‘in-between spaces’
This new technology centre reflects the Veritas commitment to collaboration, openness and entertprise. Within the double height warehouse, connecting bridges and mezzanines were installed at angles to create flexible and highly effective ‘in-between spaces’ used for co-working, client meeting and staff gatherings. The variety of these spaces and areas allow staff to step away from their desks for individual downtime or impromptu meetings. Bright colors accent the industrial backdrop and an environmental graphics program unifies the scheme.
