Autodesk EMEA HQ

Autodesk’s vision for its EMEA HQ was for a site-specific workspace, one that recognises its Irish context, and, more specifically, its location in Dublin’s bustling Docklands. Henry J Lyons designed a fitout to satisfy this brief, providing high-quality workspace across two floors.

The client sought a representation of ‘Postcard Dublin’, which is reflected in the Georgian features in the main workspaces, with the Irish distillery represented in the bar and games area. Dublin’s Docklands is abstractly conveyed in the reception, open plan circulation and canteen space. The fitout creates a variety of work, collaboration, and social spaces for Autodesk’s growing team. Level 1 of the project provides an Autodesk Product Experience space, training rooms, flexible meeting rooms and a large multifunctional room located within the old mill building. Level 2 is home to Autodesk’s main reception, VIP meeting suite, a ‘pub’ breakout space and open plan office. The River Liffey and the Docklands, with their importance to Dublin and the City’s shipping and industrial past, informed the design of the main open plan spaces.
