Claire Pierce - Director

Claire is an award-winning architect and Director at Henry J Lyons, where she is a leader in the practice’s residential and master planning portfolio. With nearly two decades of experience, she has been at the forefront of the practices approach to sustainable community development since joining in 2015. Her innovative vision for multi-unit residential design and urban planning has earned awards, including RIAI and Building of the Year awards for the Cardiff Lane and Lime Street masterplans.

Claire is a skilled communicator with extensive experience collaborating with project teams, client bodies, stakeholders, and local authorities. She excels at coordinating and managing complex projects. In her new role as Director, she will continue to develop and integrate research-based initiatives to drive progress and innovation in the sector.

Currently, Claire directs several landmark projects, including Project Claremont in Howth and the transformative masterplans for Clonburris and Adamstown Town Centres. Her expertise in creating vibrant, sustainable communities has established new benchmarks for residential developments.

Claire studied in both Ireland and the UK. She developed her skills at London-based practices Van Heyningen and Haward Architects and Walters and Cohen Architects.

[Ropemaker Place, Cardiff Lane] Within walking distance of many global-technology headquarters, this project demonstrates design strategies across all scales for how to live, work and relax within a streetbased urban environment.
[One Lime Street] The design draws inspiration from the north-south rhythm of the local streets and lanes, with two linear blocks defining a landscaped, south-facing central courtyard.
[Claremont Howth] Project Claremount is a mixed use development of residential, retail, restaurant/cafe, and a creche in 4 blocks (A to D). A ribbon of 3 storey + attic stacked duplex units face onto the Howth Road, expressed as a village terrace referencing the local context and scale.
[The Lookout, Harbour Road] Set on a 0.69ha hillside site in Dublin’s picturesque promontory of Dalkey,
the Lookout Harbour Road is a high-end residential development for developer Winterbrook Limited.
