The Royal Hibernian Academy has been housed at Ely Place since 1970. Henry J Lyons was engaged for the refurbishment of the building in 2007. The refurbishment included the renovation and re-organisation of the existing structure in order to provide clear navigational routes and circulation paths while improving the quality of the gallery spaces.
