The Morrison
The Morrison Dublin, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, is a five-star hotel located in the heart of the city center, offering 145 contemporary bedrooms and suites.
Originally constructed in 1999 on Ormond Quay, along the northern banks of the River Liffey, the Morrison hotel underwent a significant transformation when it was acquired and renovated by the Russian oligarch Elena Baturina in 2012. Prior to joining Henry J Lyons, NODA was selected as the design team.
In 2021, the hotel changed ownership to Zetland, and a strategic decision was made to reposition the establishment under the Curio brand, a part of the Hilton family. In 2022, NODA returned to enhance the hotel's ambiance, focusing on redesigning the lobby area on the ground floor and making improvements to the bedrooms and suites, which included upgrading the bathrooms from three-piece to four-piece facilities. As a result of these efforts, The Morrison hotel now proudly stands as a distinguished five-star accommodation.
In late 2022, NODA merged with Henry J Lyons to form Henry J Lyons Hospitality. Find more about this here
The Curio brand, to which The Morrison hotel belongs, is committed to embracing local culture and celebrating the curiosity of its guests in the present moment, creating a unique and immersive experience for all who stay at the hotel.
The hotel's history is deeply intertwined with its location, as it was constructed on the grounds of a former music recording studio and printworks. Over the years, it gained recognition among musicians who found it a preferred place to stay when performing in the city. In 2012, the inspiration for the hotel's design was drawn from this historical connection, centering on Irish songwriters and lyricists. Later, in 2022, this theme expanded to encompass a broader Irish cultural perspective, extending to include contemporary writers and spoken word artists, all of whom have ties to the vibrant northside location.
