Commanding views to the Campshires and the River Liffey.

The building is entered from the north and is set within a new landscaped plaza space that provides an impressive approach and adds scale to the building’s generous reception. Full height glazing commands views to the Campshires and the River Liffey. In elevation, the building steps down from nine to five storeys and incorporates a series of generous roof terraces with hard and soft landscaping and boasting unparalleled panoramic views of the River, Customs House, the Samuel Beckett Bridge, the Convention Centre, and of the Dublin Mountains to the south.

The building’s strong forms are wrapped in a simple skin

The building’s strong forms are wrapped in a simple skin composed of a series of bronze anodised aluminium ‘fins’ which rise vertically across two floors to create a double order within the facade. This expression accentuates the verticality of the building, with the extruded fins providing essential solar shading where required. The lower façades of the west and south elevations are clad in flamed limestone. A restricted materials palette of structurally bonded glazing, bronze anodised aluminium, and dark limestone complements the adjacent structures.

A highly efficient energy and sustainability accreditation strategy has been employed through the design phase with the building achieving BER A3 and LEED Gold V4 standard.
