Citi Bank Building, Waterfront South Central
Citi Bank’s new headquarters at Waterfront South Central, currently under construction, is located on one of Dublin’s largest remaining brownfield sites along the quays. The new Headquarters building has an expected completion of Summer 2026.
The Citi Bank building is the first commercial building to be constructed on Waterfront. Part of the greater masterplan for Waterfront, Citi will be providing both social and economic opportunities for current and future people located in the area. Situated in a prime location, the site offers an ideal setting for Citi’s employees and visitors, with easy access to transportation links, local amenities, hotels, and key social and economic hubs.
Significant progress has been made on the redevelopment of this historical site in Dublin Docklands, which upon completion will deliver approximately 450,000 sq. ft. GIA Grade A office space for Citi Bank.
The overall Waterfront masterplan will eventually provide an opportunity to establish links between the river and the hinterland in this area along the Quays.
It will activate the adjoining streets and passageways, create a sense of interconnectivity and energy through the different uses, developments and spaces that will exist there. The stunning facades and elevation design along the riverfront and surrounding streets offer a premium urban edge to the River Liffey and the Quays, energizing the streets and adding a unique character to the overall development. Opaque frit bands are thoughtfully incorporated into both the outer glass layer and inner façade systems. The dynamic use of surface frit and protruding fin profiles enhances the façade, creating a three-dimensional effect as one moves beneath the building.
The elegantly landscaped terraces on the upper levels, at both the front and rear of the building, offer recreational spaces, enhance the working environment, and promote biodiversity.
