Reviving a derelict
site in Galway's city centre

MetLife’s new Global Technology Campus builds on the company’s significant presence in Ireland which is the hub of its European insurance businesses. The existing structure of the building, which was constructed in the early 1970s, has been entirely re-purposed into an open-plan workspace. The new facility provides an environment focused on productivity, connectivity, diversity and wellness. The Galway Global Technology Campus features work and collaboration spaces throughout the facility, informal meeting rooms which promote innovation, writable walls and integrated video conferencing which connects employees worldwide.

State-of-the-art, collaborative environments

The opening of a further Global Technology Campus  continues MetLife’s broader strategic effort of transforming the workplace experience by bringing employees together in state-of-the-art, collaborative environments, while reducing its geographic footprint and significantly lowering operating costs. Accommodating  250 staff, the new research and development centre provides a modern work environment and brings new life to an almost derelict site in the centre of Galway City.
